SIPP administrator Guinness Mahon Trust Corporation faces five alleged claims that it worked with unregulated introducers to facilitate non-standard investments.
The claims have been issued by law firm Anthony Philip James & Co after five claimants said their investments were not suitable for their needs. The investments took place between 2013 and 2016 into schemes such as Global Plantations and Ethical Forestry.
20 further claims by Anthony Philip James & Co against Guinness Mahon relating to SIPP investments are to be issued in the next few weeks.
APJ is also representing claimants in 30 cases against Liberty SIPP.
